The use of technology in K-12 education is more widespread than it was before the pandemic, even though most schools have transitioned to in-person learning. Record numbers of students now have their own school-issued digital devices; educators have become discerning evaluators of technology tools; and a hard push is underway at the federal, state, and local levels to connect all homes to high-speed internet.

Yet big challenges remain around:

  • Designing effective online learning
  • Decreasing screen time
  • Assessing the impact of tech on social-emotional skills

We’ll look at the steps schools are taking (or should take) to improve the use of technology in schools.
